This Privacy Policy explains how MARKLOG ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our trading journal application (the "Service").
Account information. When you sign up, we collect your first name, last name, and email address, and you create a password.
Trade data. Any information you enter into your trading journal, including but not limited to currency pairs, entry/exit prices, profit and loss, strategies, notes, emotions, and screenshots you upload.
Anthropic API key (optional). If you choose to use the "Friday AI" assistant feature, you may provide your own Anthropic API key. This key is encrypted before being stored and is only decrypted on our server when needed to make requests to Anthropic on your behalf.
Usage data. Standard technical information such as login timestamps and basic server logs.
We use your information to provide and maintain the Service, including letting you log in, store and display your trade history, generate analytics from your trade data, and power the optional AI assistant feature using your supplied API key.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Your account credentials are managed through Supabase Authentication, which stores passwords using industry-standard hashing — we never see or store your password in plain text.
Your trade data and account settings are stored in a Supabase-hosted database. Screenshots you upload are stored in Supabase Storage.
Your Anthropic API key, if provided, is encrypted before being saved and decrypted only at the moment it's needed to contact Anthropic's API on your behalf. It is never displayed back to you in full after saving.
We rely on the following third-party service providers to operate MARKLOG:
We also send transactional emails (such as password reset links) through our authentication provider, Supabase, which uses its own email infrastructure for this purpose.
We do not share your personal trade data with other users. We do not share your information with advertisers. We only share data with the third-party service providers listed above, solely to the extent necessary to operate the Service.
You may update or delete your trade entries at any time within the app. You may remove your saved Anthropic API key at any time in Settings. You may permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from the "Danger Zone" section in Settings, or by contacting us at the email below.
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including encrypting sensitive credentials such as API keys and relying on Supabase's secure authentication infrastructure. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
MARKLOG is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
